The Mary Wallopers (IRE) announce special guests: Last Quokka, KNEE, Cammy Cautious and the Wrestlers, Bimbo + Drunk Mums | Tour kicks off next month!
19 Aug 2025‘Ireland’s most outspoken group …It feels almost lacking if a Mary Wallopers night doesn’t devolve into mayhem’ – The Independent
Three weeks to go until riotous Irish outfit The Mary Wallopers return to Australia – headed our way fresh off the back of their first new single since 2024’s Home Boys Home EP, ‘The Juice’ (listen here). Written by front-brothers Andrew and Charles Hendy, ‘The Juice’ is a rattling, rallying call of necessary delinquent behaviour that ascends to the heavens for the track’s final, chaotic instrumental smash up. “This is a song for all the exhausted people, fed up of all the greedy crooks, who still manage to squeeze a bit of juice out of life.”
Over the last few years, The Mary Wallopers profile has grown and grown. Recently, they played massive sold-out headline shows in Dublin (8,000 people) and supported Queens of the Stone Age. Sold over 40,000 tickets on their March 2025 UK tour, which included two sell out nights at the recently reopened Brixton Academy. They were a massive part of the BBC’s Glastonbury coverage (2023, 2024); played live on Later with Jools Holland; performed with the reformed Pogues, and more. Check out the brilliant Observer profile here.
In a tour update today, joining the Wallopers across Australia are:
Perth: Last Quokka
The Fremantle garage punkers won a WAM award last year for Best Punk/Hardcore Act, and have graced staged with the likes of Sleaford Mods, Amyl and the Sniffers and Regurgitator, while in March this year released their high octane fourth album, The Fight To The Bastards, via Valve Records.Brisbane: KNEE
Since releasing their self-titled debut EP in 2024, KNEE have cut their teeth playing with the likes of OSEES, Grinding Eyes, Drunk Mums, SWAB, Dr Sure’s Unusual Practice, Alien Nosejob and Autobahns. KNEE's anticipated single ‘Hellbound’ shows they have no intention of slowing down.Sydney: Cammy Cautious and the Wrestlers
“When I first encountered Cammy Cautious and the Wrestlers, this bunch of reprobates were playing a contagiously-energetic show to a bunch of over-excited basement dwellers,” reckons Owen Penglis from Straight Arrows. “Turns out these degenerates are lovely, intelligent people with a keen ear for a riff and a hook. Who woulda thought?!”Thirroul: Bimbo
Birthed from the glittery ashes of their shelved bubble pop project comes Bimbo, the kicking and screaming baby from musical sweethearts B Faulks and Jez Player (The Pinheads). They called in James Kates (Shining Bird, Cheap Gloomer) on drums and Steve Bourke (Step Panther, Hockey Dad) on bass to form their punk princess, which can simply described as: Bitchy, Intelligent, Moronic, Bootylicious, OTT.Melbourne: Drunk Mums
Clocking over 30 million streams, Drunk Mums are punk royalty. Don’t take our word for it: says Eamon from The Chats: “Drunk Mums are probably the single most influential band for the Chats, and I’m sure many other bands would say the same. They’ve shown us all time and time again how to write a bloody good rock n roll song.”These shows are going to be loud and fun… don’t miss The Mary Wallopers next month! Tickets are on sale now.
