Illusive Presents and Frontier Touring today announce the NLE Choppa & Famous Dex Australian tour set to take place February/March 2020. The co-headline tour will kick off in Sydney then head to Melbourne and Brisbane, and will coincide with Good Life Presents’ Lost City events due to take place in Sydney and Brisbane which will feature the pair of US performers.

Just over a year after the world had its first taste of 16-year-old NLE Choppa, the East Memphis born and raised rapper hit number one on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart. The Platinum-Certification of Choppa’s hit single, ‘Shotta Flow’ came as no surprise for fans with the track achieving nearly 200 million combined streams between YouTube and Spotify to date.

Choppa will be joined by Chicago’s Famous Dex, best known for his hit single ‘Drip from My Walk’ and his ‘Pick it Up’ collaboration with A$AP Rocky, the rapper will bring to Australian fans his ‘Southern-influenced’ brand of hip-hop. The 26-year performer, who was born and raised in Englewood, Chicago, made his career debut in 2016 with his self-released mixtape, ‘Never Seen It Coming’. Fast forward to 2018 and rapper Famous Dex made it to the top ten on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart with hit album ‘Dex Meets Dexter’.

Both performers have captured the attention and praise of music authority Pitchfork.  Back in 2016, Pitchfork contributing writer Sheldon Pearce, included Famous Dex’s mixtape #OhMannGoddDamn on his ‘9 Great Rap Mixtapes You Might Have Missed This Year’ wrap up. More recently, in 2019 Pitchfork’s Alphonse Pierre referred to NLE Choppa’s ‘Shotta Flow’ as the “hottest song out of Memphis so far this year.”

Don’t miss your chance to experience NLE Choppa and Famous Dex’s Australian debut as they co-headline in 2020.
