NEW PERTH AND SYDNEY SHOWS ANNOUNCED

Global music phenomenon Troye Sivan has announced two new special performances for Sydney and Perth fans in January. His very first Australian show will be a homecoming performance at the Astor Theatre in his hometown of Perth, whilst the new venue of Sydney’s Enmore Theatre gives even more fans the opportunity to witness Troye’s electrifying performance up close and personal.

Troye Sivan and Frontier Touring are taking care of fans, making certain that ticket holders to his cancelled November shows are given the first opportunity to access tickets. Ticket holders who originally purchased through the authorised outlets will have first access to buy in the Past Purchasers Pre-sale.

This exclusive pre-sale will strictly run 24 hours or until tickets are exhausted. Original ticket buyers will be emailed by the relevant ticketing agency with the information required to participate in this pre-sale. Importantly, as Troye would like to make sure that everyone who had purchased tickets to the cancelled show has the opportunity to purchase again, he asks that people honour the same amount of tickets they originally purchased for the show.

This news adds to what is already an exceptionally special week for Troye fans with his hugely anticipated debut album Blue Neighborhood out yesterday through EMI Music Australia. Featuring the singles ‘YOUTH’, ‘WILD’, ‘FOOLS’ and ‘TALK ME DOWN’ , Blue Neighborhood is receiving critical acclaim from around the globe.

‘It is difficult not to lose yourself in Sivan’s world, so perfect is the illusion.’ – The Guardian (5 Stars)

‘Sivan has an impressive eye for detail and a deft lyrical touch’ – The Music

‘A star is born…’ – Rolling Stone (4 stars)

‘Sivan is fearless and honest in a way pop stars aren’t’ – Daily Telegraph (4 Stars)

‘Skepticism melts away as the tracks – written by Troye himself alongside a score of young and local songwriters – tell a beautiful coming-of-age story’ - Musicfeeds

‘Sivan is a gust of fresh air. – Herald Sun

Troye Sivan is a true global contemporary pop phenomenon – evolving from one of the most celebrated YouTubers on the platform to the world’s most exciting new pop wunderkind. Troye’s first EP, 2014’s TRXYE, topped iTunes charts in 66 countries, as well as debuting at #5 on the US Billboard album charts. Last year, Time magazine named Troye one of the most influential teenagers of 2014.

When he announced the imminent release of his WILD mini-album in August 2014, pre-orders instantly sent the record to the top of the charts in 56 countries including Australia, USA, UK, Russia and Brazil. Its actual release was met with exuberant praise from the likes of Taylor Swift and Sam Smith, while the mini-album immediately topped the ARIA album charts on debut, and peaked at # 5 in both the USA and UK.

Despite a worldwide fan base that encompasses 126 million Spotify streams, 210 million views on YouTube and a collective 14 million followers on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr combined, it’s clear that Troye is just getting started.

In October of this year, Troye performed his very first live shows and embarked on a sold-out tour of North America including a performance Los Angeles’ The Roxy that sold-out in just three minutes. He was named GQ Magazine’s 2015 Breakthrough Solo Artist at their awards earlier this year, won 2015 Artist on the Rise at the MTV EMA’s and has been announced as musical guest for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on December 8.

Joining Troye onstage as special guest for his Perth performance will be his own brother and DJ Tyde Levi, who has also established himself as an adored YouTube personality with almost half a million followers. Troye’s Sydney special guest will be triple j’s 2015 ‘Unearthed Feature Artist’ Gordi, who has climbed to #5 on the Spotify Viral Chart, #6 on the iTunes singer-songwriter chart and hit the top 40 in the Shazam Chart with single ‘Nothing As It Seems’.

Ticket buyers to Troye’s cancelled November shows have been given a special chance of first access to his debut Australian performances with the exclusive pre-sale. These shows are a unique chance to see one of contemporary culture’s most exhilarating new artists on the cusp of superstardom.
