Johnette Napolitano 2012

The Frontier Touring Company in association with The Famous Spiegeltent are excited to announce the return of the one and only Johnette Napolitano presenting her ‘Self Portrait, 2012’ show exclusively to The Famous Spiegeltent during its Melbourne season for 3 nights only!

In October 2010, Napolitano alongside her band mate James Mankey resurrected ‘Concrete Blonde’ for a tour to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of their ‘Bloodletting’ album. Concrete Blonde were welcomed back with open arms to Australia by fans and critics alike; the shows were fantastic with Napolitano delivering a performance as commanding as ever.

'Self Portrait, 2012' is Johnette Napolitano stripped bare. She will perform re-worked acoustic versions of select, seminal Concrete Blond tracks from across the entire catalogue accompanied simply by herself either on piano or acoustic guitar.

This series of special performances will also feature rarely performed live songs of Johnette’s collaborative compositions with other artists. These originally featured on the limited edition ‘Sketchbook Vol I’ release. Although no longer available to buy on disc, these songs are still available via music download sites.
