Frontier Touring is thrilled to announce multiple ARIA Award winners Gang of Youths will perform a special one-night-only show at Anita’s Theatre in Thirroul next Thursday 6 August. The intimate performance offers fans a rare opportunity to experience one of Australia’s most celebrated live acts up close, ahead of the band’s highly anticipated – and already sold out – Sydney Opera House debut.
Led by singer-songwriter David Le’aupepe alongside Donnie Borzestowski, Jung Kim and Tom Hobden, Gang of Youths have earned a reputation as one of Australia’s most compelling live bands, with an acclaimed catalogue that includes beloved anthems ‘Magnolia’, ‘The Deepest Sighs, the Frankest Shadows’, ‘What Can I Do If The Fire Goes Out?’ and ‘the angel of 8th ave’. The exclusive Illawarra show offers fans a rare chance to see the Sydney-born, now London-based outfit in one of the country’s most unique theatres.
Renowned for their emotionally charged songwriting and exhilarating live performances, Gang Of Youths cemented their breakthrough with their 2017 chart-topping album Go Farther in Lightness. Since then, they have earned four ARIA Awards from 24 nominations, before topping the charts again in 2022 with their acclaimed second album, angel in realtime. They’ve sold out venues around the world and shared stages with artists including Foo Fighters, Mumford & Sons and Sam Fender.
Tickets for the Thirroul show go on sale Thursday 30 July (12pm AEST) via frontiertouring.com/gangofyouths.
Fans can get early access via tomorrow’s Frontier Member presale, which starts Wednesday 29 July (11am AEST) – see website for full details.
