After selling out seasons and touring the world to unanimous critical acclaim with her 2015 & 2016 solo shows Savage and The Resistance, Alice Fraser is back with a brand new hour of reliably silly, unpredictably meaningful, narratively unorthodox, artful comedy.
Premiering at the Adelaide Fringe, Alice’s new show Empire will explore the notion of power (If power corrupts, who’s in power?) and revenge (If revenge is a dish best served cold, who’s carrying the dish?)

Academic, ex-corporate lawyer, writer, musician and critically acclaimed comedian Alice Fraser’s origins in the Sydney University Faculty Revue led her to the world-renowned Footlights whilst completing her Masters in English Literature (Rhetoric) at Cambridge.
Alice began doing stand-up in New York before returning to full-time work as a lawyer. However, she soon realised she needed to give up law to pursue comedy and writing full time. Since then, Alice has written for satirical news radio show A Rational Fear, ABC TV’s The Elegant Gentleman’s Guide to Knife Fighting, and been published in Cosmopolitan and Marie-Claire. She’s appeared on Channel 9’s Mornings, debated Julian Assange and delivered, by invitation, a TEDx talk which became the basis for her keynote address.
