PARTY. PARTY. PARTY. DANCE.

It is with great excitement that The Frontier Touring Company announce Brazilian party-starters CSS will be performing a pair of sizzling headline shows this January at The Standard in Sydney and Melbourne’s Corner Hotel.

The Sao Paulo band, whose name is an abbreviation of the phrase ‘Cansei de Ser Sexy’, have earned a large international following since their 2005 eponymous debut and their latest offering La Liberación (out now through Cooperative Music) has spawned another collection of irresistible electro-rock dancefloor hits including ‘Hits Me Like A Rock’.

Littered with pop culture and cheeky references; accompanied by heavy riffs and galactic synths, bass-heavy funk and enticing hooks, CSS’ live performances are as effervescent as the songs themselves.

CSS have toured the globe with the likes of Gwen Stefani, Ladytron and Diplo as well as headlining shows of their own, all the while never failing to impress audiences from Europe to Japan, to local crowds here in Australia:

‘There is no doubt that the fun the band have creates an atmosphere that would be impossible to ignore…CSS proved they have what it takes to make a party feel bigger and funner than anywhere else on earth.’ – In The Mix

‘It was most definitely a solid set, by a solid, extremely charismatic and entertaining band.’ – The AU Review

‘With more charisma packed into her small stature than should be humanly possible, CSS’s Lovefoxxx erupts on stage like a dynamo on speed…Essentially, they’re the CSS we know and love, and tonight’s audience wouldn’t have had it any other way.’ – Clash Music

‘Not surprisingly, the audience exploded into a huge dance party when the band played anthemic, famed single “Music is My Hot, Hot Sex”…The rest of the set followed in the same vein: interminable energy, ridiculous stage antics (e.g., the appearance of a keytar), endless enthusiasm, and, on the whole, a damn good set.’ – Consequence of Sound

CSS’ live shows are frenzied, frivolous and full of flair but most of all – a f-load of fun. Tickets will be in high demand so be prepared to move fast if you want to avoid disappointment.
