The Frontier Touring Company is pleased to confirm headline performances for Moby this January. Venturing Down Under to ring in the New Year, Moby will perform one-off headline performances in Sydney and Melbourne. A fan favorite in Australia, these will be Moby’s first headline shows in over four years, ensuring these are the first unmissable events of 2010.

Moby returns to Australia a decade after the release of his monster album Play, which catapulted him onto the worldwide stage, garnering critical acclaim and sales in excess of ten million. Moby’s return will see him perform an array of fan favourites, as well as showcasing tracks from his 2009 release Wait for Me (available now through EMI) – an album many are hailing his finest to date.

Wait for Me sees Moby take a path many hadn’t anticipated. At times morose, and distinctly darker than previous releases, Wait for Me offers a slow burn, where layer after layer is uncovered listen after listen offering a unique perspective over Moby’s world. Fans and critics have offered their praise in unison, suggesting only one outcome: Moby is at the peak of his career.

Music publications the world over have lavished praise upon Wait for Me:

“It’s a remarkable work, and while Moby may find himself once more providing the soundtrack to every trendy restaurant and automobile ad for the next 18 months, what’s best about this record is that it’s just that: an album, meant to be consumed the old-school way, front-to-back.” – Paste Magazine

“Like a Lynchian vision, it's darkly mysterious and disconsolate, but essentially human and it's that sense of the persistence of humanity that lends this work its majesty.” – Filter

“The mood is somber, mournful, and at times, downright postapocalyptic. But the best of these ambient orchestrations, gurgling uncomplicated beats, and scattered vocals add up to something emotionally wrought, even transporting.” – Spin

“It's a return to form but with a wider romantic streak.” – Rolling Stone

Renowned for his explosive live performances, Moby leaves audiences begging for more time after time. Musical virtuosity combined with an impressive and extensive back catalogue result in only one thing: unforgettable performances. His last Australian tour was no exception, leaving those in attendance praying for a return. While Wait for Me sees Moby adopt a different approach, there is no doubt his performances will rival past appearances:

“…he pulled some spectacular aces from his sleeve,” – The Daily Telegraph

“exceeded every possible expectation” – The Sun Herald

“an unquestionably great musician” – The Brag

“…every now and then we are reminded by an artist just how thrilling it is to begin the ride in wonder, and go wherever it takes you,” – Beat Magazine

Selling out all headline shows to date in Australia, tickets to see Moby live this January will be snapped up immediately. Ensure you don’t miss out. Tickets on sale Tuesday 17 November.
