THE SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE’S BIGGEST EVER UNDER 18s FESTIVAL
Illusive is very excited to announce the birth of Another World – the southern hemisphere’s biggest ever under 18s festival. The event will see more than 30 acts invade Melbourne Park’s Hisense Arena on Cup Eve (Monday 1st November). The line-up features the cream of contemporary Australian music over 5 stages, featuring a never-ending roll call of the country’s most electrifying live acts. Topping the bill are hip-hop icons Bliss N Eso in their only under 18s performance of 2010, local hard rock kings The Getaway Plan, electro-pop hit makers The Potbelleez, hardcore giants The Amity Affliction and the biggest household name in Australian house – Grant Smillie. Joining them are fiery songstress Paris Wells, electro wunderkinds The Aston Shuffle, the one who speaks no Americano – DCUP, hardcore monsters The Red Shore and Behind Crimson Eyes, hip-hop genre benders Diafrix, the man behind Australia’s festival anthem - Pez, Sydney’s infamous Bang Gang DJs, Blazin’ mix master Nino Brown, trash rockers Fangs and many, many more.
The superb local line-up highlights Australia’s thriving music scene and, for many of the acts, it will be their first performance to the age group that will shape the future of Australian music. Fans from all walks of life will sprawl across the expansive grounds of Melbourne Park, from the main stage in Hisense Arena to the outdoor hardcore stage, a colossal dance arena to two enormous club-inspired rooms, alongside attraction areas and chill-out areas.
With the vast majority of music festivals currently out of reach for younger fans due to licensing regulations and ticket pricing, Another World brings Australia’s biggest acts to the newest generation of music fans in an environment and for a ticket price created just for them. The alcohol-free event will run from 5 – 11pm.
Another World is destined to sell out in a heartbeat as youngsters scramble to get their hands on a golden ticket.
