Jackson United have confirmed their long-awaited return tour of Australia! Following on from their Australian tour in 2004 - which drew critical acclaim and thrilled all in attendance - Jackson United will headline shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney this April.

Formed by Foo Fighters’ and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes’ guitarist Chris Shiflett in early 2003, Jackson United have cultivated a strong fan base during their five years together. Chris will perform Jackson United headline shows in addition to Foo Fighters’ dates across the country.

Jackson United will tour in support of their sophomore release Harmony and Dissidence (out April 12 through Liberator Music), arguably the band’s finest work to date. Harmony and Dissidence sees Jackson United build on 2004’s debut Western Ballads, with the end result an innovative Rancid via The Clash byproduct.

Foo Fighters Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins took control of drumming duties on Harmony and Dissidence, however this tour will see Jackson United’s newly adopted drummer (Joe Kid of Mighty Mighty Bosstones fame) picking up the sticks.

Jackson United have a rich touring history having spent time on the road with The Vandals, Sugarcult, our very own The Living End, and have even knocked out a run on the Vans Warped Tour.

Explosive and non-stop, a Jackson United show delivers on every front. Don’t miss your chance to see Jackson United live in Australia this April!
