Ben Lee needs no introduction to Australian audiences. That’s why it gives The Frontier Touring Company great pleasure to confirm that Ben will continue his love affair with Australia as he plays a one-off show in Melbourne this August at the Corner Hotel. Support will come from Sydney’s Wons Phreely.
Ben Lee’s most recent run of shows across Australia saw him take to the stage with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, perform as a surprise guest with friend and collaborator Mandy Moore, as well as play 2008’s Playground Weekender festival. You should expect the unexpected with Ben Lee, and this show will be no exception.
Wons Phreely is a seasoned performer, having supported Ben Kweller, M. Ward, Aqualung and Bob Evans, as well as appearing at The Great Escape and Splendour In The Grass festivals. Wons’ music has attracted a multitude of praise locally, with Inpress naming his Rules of Nature EP as “the best album released this year that’s not quite an album”.
