THE ALL AMERICAN REJECTS

Sydney, rejoice! The All-American Rejects have agreed to take time out from their busy Australian tour with Simple Plan this October to perform a special one-off show at The Annandale Hotel.

The All-American Rejects – otherwise known as Tyson Ritter, Nick Wheeler, Mike Kennerty and Chris Gaylor – shot to public notoriety with the release of their debut self-titled album in 2003. The album was wholeheartedly embraced by music lovers worldwide, quickly securing platinum sales.

Now, coinciding with band’s Australian tour, The All-American Rejects are set to unleash another promising collection of tunes down under, the aptly titled Move Along (out 26 September through Interscope Records). The album is already attracting well-deserved attention overseas, and proves that “Thankfully, the Rejects haven’t lost their knack for writing propulsive toe tappers.” (Rolling Stone, July 2005)

Indeed, it is their upbeat, infectious blend of emo, punk-pop and rock that has won The All-American Rejects so many fans. Unlike many of their musical counterparts, The All-American Rejects’ music tends to focus on positivity, rather than self-woe. “I think people confuse being happy with being shallow and having no substance,” confides Wheeler. “But we can feel good and make other people feel good when we play our music.”

Fired up from a spot on the acclaimed Vans Warped Tour and their upcoming support for Simple Plan, The All-American Rejects are set to rock Sydney this October. Make sure you don’t miss out on seeing them headline their only Australian show.

Supporting The All-American Rejects will be Sydney’s own Town Hall Steps, who, having supported the likes of Avril Lavigne, Simple Plan and Gyroscope, have garnered a strong following over the past year.
