Since announcing the Kaiser Chiefs were touring with the Foo Fighters this December, fans of the trendy lads from Leeds have been beating down our door begging for side shows! So it is with great excitement that we announce the Kaiser Chiefs only Australian headline show.

The show will invade Sydney's Metro Theatre on Tuesday 29 November, and will be an unmissable one-off affair - so make sure you mark it in your diary!

Kaiser Chiefs formed in 2003 with the rather modest ambition of playing their hometown music festival in Leeds. But within the space of a few months, the group had exploded onto the international music scene.

Their debut, self-financed single 'Oh My God' climbed to 66th place on the British Singles Chart despite being only a limited release. Their follow up 'I Predict a Riot' reached the Top 30 and did indeed spark a riot of sorts - a US label bidding war.

The boys were picked to open the NME Awards Tour in 2005 and successfully achieved their aim of playing at Leeds as well as Reading.

Well-earned hype (and frenzied dancing) follows the Chiefs wherever they go:

"They're a band of genuine characters. But the music [they] make is something else. If they're not cresting the charts in six months' time, we will gladly eat our laptops." NME

"A sea of fists punch the air, the clapping and chanting rarely ceases and 'I Predict a Riot' is the top-hat on a very well-groomed performance." Manchester Online

"They owned the joint. They launched into the cracking 'I Predict a Riot', a relentless fist-in-the-air rocker, and officially tore the roof off the sucker. In person, the Kaisers' punchy tunes were served up with a raw, unkempt wildness that their studio equivalent only subtly hints to." ChartAttack.com

"The Kaiser Chiefs are on fire." Leedsmusicscene.net

Snap up your tickets to see the Kaiser Chiefs this November at their only Australian headlining show. And make sure you bring along your dancing shows, because you're certainly going to need them!

Supporting the Kaiser Chiefs will be talented locals Bit by Bats and The Red Riders
