Water From Your Eyes & This Is Lorelei announce debut Australian headline dates in Sydney and Melbourne
11 Nov 2025Frontier Touring & Penny Drop are delighted to announce Water From Your Eyes (US) and This Is Lorelei (US) will make their anticipated headline debuts in Sydney and Melbourne in March 2026.
Water From Your Eyes will perform at The Night Cat, Melbourne on Monday 9 March and Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Wednesday 11 March. This is Lorelei will play Mary’s Underground, Sydney on Wednesday 4 March and Howler, Melbourne on Thursday 5 March. Both acts will also appear at Golden Plains Festival.
Water From Your Eyes
It’s a Beautiful Place (released in August via Remote Control/Matador Records), is Water From Your Eyes’ glittering and gonzo magnum opus. Since its release, the album has been met with an outpouring of praise, including rave reviews at Pitchfork (8.3 Best New Music), Stereogum (Album of the Week), Bandcamp (Album of the Day), Paste (8.7), and more. The Brooklyn-based duo – Nate Amos and Rachel Brown – were also interviewed in Rolling Stone, FADER, Nylon, Flaunt, and performed ‘Life Signs’ on Colbert’s #LateShowMeMusic series.
Throughout It’s a Beautiful Place is a clear sense of a band who have honed their curveballs into home runs. Looming and melancholy, these are songs that look outward, conscious of our smallness and questioning our place in the universe while admiring the surrounding beauty. The band – now a four-piece on stage with Al Nardo (guitar) and Bailey Wollowitz (drums) – has just completed a mostly sold-out US headline tour and will kick off a run of European dates this week, with a sold-out show at London’s Village Underground.
In the time since WFYE’s 2023 Everyone's Crushed debut and critical breakout – which appeared in end of year lists by The New York Times, The Guardian, Pitchfork, NME, Vogue, Wired and Rolling Stone – Rachel Brown and Nate Amos have become a pillar of the city's alternative music scene and one of its most revered underground exports.
“Their most joyously out-there achievement yet — a mind-blowing concept album about time, space travel, and the nature of reality.” – Rolling Stone
“sprawling, amorphous, hermetic, overwhelming, heartbreaking, funny as hell.” - Pitchfork
“the Brooklyn indie scene’s talk of the town. The near-uncategorizable duo have become one of those bands that everyone who knows says you should know”
– NYLON
This Is Lorelei
This Is Lorelei, the project of Nate Amos, today shares new track ‘Holo Boy’. The song is the album closer and title track from his forthcoming new LP, Holo Boy, out December 12th via Double Double Whammy.
After the breakout indie success of Box for Buddy, Box for Star, his quasi-debut album as This Is Lorelei, Amos rethought the typical album format altogether. The result is a sort-of-second sort-of-album. Neither a retrospective compilation, nor a traditionally new LP, but an undeniable reaffirmation of Amos’ past and present talents, featuring 10 re-recorded versions of songs from 9 different releases written from 2014 to 2021.
It’s been a whirlwind couple of years for Amos. This Is Lorelei performed for sold-out crowds across the US and embarked on its first European headline tour. Plus, indie darlings MJ Lenderman and Snail Mail teamed up with Amos to record their own versions of Box for Buddy, Box for Star tracks ‘Dancing in the Club’ and ‘Two Legs’, respectively. More recently, Waxahatchee also hopped on the covers train, performing ‘Where’s Your Love Now’ at her live shows.
"Amos has a receptive ear for melody, an off-kilter sense of lyricism and a keen instinct for unexpected sonic details"
-The New York Times
“Both striking in its simplicity and downright seamless in its execution."
-Paste (Best Albums of 2024)
If Box for Buddy, Box for Star was his most vulnerable and earnest musical endeavour yet, to some degree, the stakes feel higher with Holo Boy — after all, the only thing more vulnerable than sharing your current self with the world is sharing your past selves.
