    Homegrown favourites Spiderbait have added a slew of new dates to their national Ivy & the Big Apples 30th Anniversary Tour this July and August, with shows in Canberra, Newcastle, Shoal BayGosford and Miranda just announced.

    Now playing a huge twelve dates across the country, Spiderbait will also deliver their epic live show to audiences in BrisbanePerthMelbourneAdelaide and Sydney on one of the most anticipated tours of the winter!

    Presale tickets for the Canberra and Newcastle shows are available from 12pm AEST on Thursday 7 May, before general sale opens 1pm AEST on Friday 8 May.

    On their 30th Anniversary Tour, Spiderbait will play their iconic 1996 album Ivy & the Big Apples in full, along with songs from their extensive catalogue. Very special guests CustardMagic DirtThe Meanies and Tumbleweed will join the band on select dates, with emerging rockers The Gnomes playing all shows.

    Announced on the weekend, Spiderbait will be honoured as ARIA Hall of Fame inductees for 2026 at a special event on 11 June at Carriageworks in Sydney. As ARIA celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the ARIA Awards, the Hall of Fame Special Event will bring together local artists that have defined generations and contributed to the sound of contemporary Australia.

    Widely regarded as a defining moment in Australian alternative rock, Spiderbait’s third studio album, Ivy & the Big Apples, marked a major breakthrough for the band. The record debuted in the ARIA Top 3, went Double Platinum, and stayed in the Top 50 for nearly a year — a testament to its enduring impact and the strength of singles like ‘Calypso’ and ‘Hot Water & Milk’.

    Featuring standout track ‘Buy Me A Pony’, which became the first Australian song to take the crown in triple j’s prestigious Hottest 100, the record captured the raw, youthful spirit of the time while pushing the boundaries of the local music scene. A fearless mix of punk, pop and alternative rock, the album cemented Spiderbait as one of Australia’s most important bands of the 90’s.
