Frontier Touring is delighted to announce a special hometown concert for pop prodigy Ruel, performing On The Steps at Sydney Opera House Forecourt on Tuesday 9 December. 

After making history in 2019 as the youngest artist to sell out the Sydney Opera House’s Concert Hall, twice, Ruel makes a landmark comeback, this time taking over the venue’s iconic outdoor forecourt to offer an introduction of  his sophomore album Kicking My Feet (out October 17 via Giant Music). 

Tickets go on sale Friday 12 September at 10am AEST. Frontier Members can access early presale tickets from Thursday 11 September at 10am AEST via frontiertouring.com/ruel.

An artist on the rise since he was a teenager and the youngest solo artist to ever win an ARIA, Ruel has amassed over three billion streams, sold out multiple world tours and regularly attends fashion shows at the invitation of luxury haute couture such as Louis Vuitton and Hermès. 

Kicking My Feet showcases the 22-year-old’s sharpened songwriting as he explores the innocence and embarrassment of being young and in love, as the album title teases. Alongside frequent collaborator M-Phazes, the album has Ruel expanding his roster of creative partners, including Dan Wilson (Taylor Swift, Adele), Joel Little (Lorde, Taylor Swift) and Kenny Beats (Vince Staples, Dominik Fike). Lead single ‘I Can Die Now’ and the recent release of ‘The Suburbs’ have provided a clear indication of Ruel’s creative maturity and confidence across the album. Fusing his signature vocal talents with an experimentation of his sound and artistry has Ruel evolving himself into a bolder musician on an unmissable trajectory.
