    About Khalid

Multi-platinum selling global superstar Khalid, who was named one of TIME’s Most Influential People of 2019, has taken the world by storm since his first single, the RIAA-certified diamond ‘Location’ (released right before his high school graduation) exploded onto the scene leading to a major label deal with Right Hand Music Group/RCA Records followed by the release of his debut album, the certified 4x platinum, American Teen. His sophomore album Free Spirit, released to critical acclaim in 2019, was declared a New York Times “Critic’s Pick” and was called “superb” by the Associated Press. The album, which has been certified 2x platinum, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and features the GRAMMY-nominated multi-format #1 single ‘Talk’. Khalid, who has been called a “pop prodigy” by Rolling Stone has been streamed globally over 35.6 billion times across all partners, has been nominated for seven GRAMMYS, and has won numerous awards including six Billboard Music Awards, four American Music Awards, two iHeartRadio Music Awards, and an MTV Video Music Award, among others. He was honoured at the 71st Annual BMI Pop Awards with the Champion Award. He’s collaborated with some of music’s biggest stars including his #1 singles ‘Love Lies’ (with Normani) and ‘Eastside’ (with Halsey and Benny Blanco) as well as Alicia Keys, Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran, and more.

In 2020, he was named the youngest artist to surpass 15 billion streams on Spotify alone and was named BMI’s Pop Songwriter of the Year. To close out 2021, Khalid released his Scenic Drive (The Tape) which he describes as a companion piece to his 2018 EP Suncity. Khalid and Marshmello teamed up again on their 2022 summer hit ‘Numb,’ making this the artist’s second collaboration following their 6x platinum smash hit ‘SILENCE’ in 2017. In 2023, Khalid was featured on the official soundtrack for Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie with ‘Silver Platter’ and joined Ed Sheeran in select cities across North America on his “+ – = ÷ x Tour.” His 2024 third album Sincere showcased Khalid’s evolution as an artist and person and explores the all-too-relatable feelings of growing up.

In October 2025, Khalid released his most recent album After The Sun Goes Down, a 17-track blend of smooth R&B fused with electro-pop, and 80s-inspired synths. Critics describe the project as “vibrant”, “authentic”, and "slinky”. The album produced two hit singles, ‘In Plain Sight’, ‘Nah’ and ‘out of body’. After The Sun Goes Down is considered a major, refreshing, and joyous step in his artistry, ushering in a bold new chapter for Khalid. Simultaneously, Khalid announced his “Always Summer Somewhere Tour”, the 25-date North American tour, kicks off in May 16, 2026, in Las Vegas.

In November 2025, Khalid was honoured with the “Disruptor” Award from Billboard at the 2025 Live Billboard Music Summit. The award recognizes his impact on the music industry, genre fluidity, and innovative artistry. The same month, Khalid achieved significant chart success in the dance and electronic genre, notably reaching #1 on dance radio charts with ‘Nobody (Make Me Feel)’ alongside Oskar Med K.

Building on his strong momentum, in February 2026, Khalid released the KYGO and Griffyn collaboration, ‘Save My Love’, producing one of the fastest moving tracks on the 2026 dance charts.
