Frontier Touring is excited to announce Australian artists Sally Seltmann and Huck Hastings will join Ben Lee on his 20th Anniversary of Awake Is The New Sleep national tour.

Sally Seltmann toured with Ben on his original Awake Is The New Sleep tour and will join him for all dates this September and October. Sydney artist Huck Hastings will also join for all shows, except in Byron Bay, Gold Coast, Torquay, and Fremantle.

“Sally toured with me back in 2005 and has been a longtime ally, collaborator and, above all, songwriter whose music I adore. It felt only right to make another lap of the country together. Huck Hastings is at the forefront of a new generation of indie Aussie songwriters, making personal gorgeous music, full of heart, without compromise and without a road map. Can’t wait to hit to the road with these dudes!” - Ben Lee

Released in 2005, Awake Is the New Sleep is the fifth album by Ben Lee. It reached #5 on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart and includes the top 40 singles ‘Gamble Everything for Love’ and ‘Catch My Disease’. ‘Gamble Everything for Love’ was voted #15 in the Triple J Hottest 100 of 2004 while ‘Catch My Disease’ ranked #2 in the 2005 countdown. Additionally, Ben’s 1998 single ‘Cigarettes Will Kill You’ recently placed at #83 on triple j’s Hottest 100 Australian Songs.

Sally Seltmann is an award winning, Australian singer songwriter. Her intoxicating albums include Heart That’s Pounding and Early Moon. Sally previously performed under the name New Buffalo and is a member of Seeker Lover Keeper with Sarah Blasko and Holly Throsby.

Sally co-wrote the worldwide hit, and Grammy nominated song ‘1234’, performed by Feist and named one of the 10 best songs of 2007 by Time magazine. Her music has featured in international films and TV shows, and numerous artists - including Bon Iver - have covered her songs. Sally and Darren Seltmann composed the score for the critically acclaimed TV show The Letdown in 2017. Following on from this they won Best Song for The Screen at the Screen Music Awards for their song ‘Dancing in The Darkness.’

In March of 2021 Sydney-based singer-songwriter Huck Hastings released his debut full length offering Cheers To Progress, which sold out its first run of vinyl. Since it’s release Hastings has been anything but quiet, serving up singles with side-projects Hacky Sack and Hollow States (both placing in FBi Radio’s most played of 2021), and live performances opening tours for The Buoys, Phoebe Go, Andy Bull and Bec Sandridge.

In February of 2023 Huck was selected by Troye Sivan and Lucas Keller as one of 14 songwriters to take part APRA's Pride Songhubs, where he spent a week writing alongside nationally revered and internationally acclaimed songwriters and producers, including Montaigne, Vetta Borne, Flowerkid, Charley, and Alex The Astronaut.
