Frontier Touring and Penny Drop are thrilled to announce Japanese trailblazers ATARASHII GAKKO! will bring THE MARCHING OF AG! TOUR to Australia this December for two explosive nights in Sydney and Melbourne.

“Australia Calling! We’re so excited to be performing live in Australia for the very first time. We can’t wait to say ‘nice to meet you’ to so many of you and share this special moment together. Please come join us — we’re looking forward to exchanging energy with you face-to-face. See you there!” - AG!

Also in the country for Meredith Music Festival, the powerhouse group will make their anticipated headline debut at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Thursday 4 December and Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Monday 8 December. Tickets go on sale Tuesday 2 September at 2pm local time via frontiertouring.com/atarashiigakko. Sign up for early access to the Frontier presale, which starts Monday 1 September at 1pm local time.

Fusing J-pop, rap and acid core, ATARASHII GAKKO! have captured the world’s attention with their powerful dance performances and frenzied, high energy live shows. Self-proclaimed "Youth Representative of Japan," their name translates to ‘New School’, their choreography is all their own and their mission is to crush mediocrity, embrace individuality and save you from burnout culture.

The group, made up of members Mizyu, Rin, Suzuka, and Kanon debuted globally in 2021 under 88rising. Their track ‘OTONABLUE’ went viral on TikTok, amassing over 3.3 billion views and 15 million+ followers across social media. Galvanised by the reception, they embarked on a headline tour that saw them perform across 33 cities worldwide and 7 cities in Japan, playing to a total of 110,000 fans. In 2024 they headlined the Gobi Stage at Coachella, played festivals in New York and LA and made their television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, performing single Tokyo Calling in their signature sailor uniforms.

Amid their growing global domination, the group dropped a documentary earlier this year titled Seishun Inoshishi (Go Wild), which captures the electrifying final night of their 2024 tour on December 22 at Tokyo’s iconic Yoyogi National Stadium.

Australia, this is your chance to witness the fierce group that’s part music, part dance, all Tokyo Thrash this December. Grab your tickets on Tuesday 2 September.
