Frontier Touring is thrilled to announce American singer-songwriter Medium Build as special guest on Alex Warren’s upcoming Australian tour.

With tickets in such high demand for his debut visit he had to upgrade venues and add dates during the presale, Alex Warren’s highly anticipated Cheaper Than Therapy Global Tour heads down under next month for 6-sold out shows.

Warren made history in Australia this month with his earth-shattering single ‘Ordinary’ spending 17 weeks at #1 on the ARIA singles chart, the longest run of all time by an international artist. The track is 3x platinum locally and has accumulated over 1 billion global streams to date.

The history making news landed alongside the release of his new album You’ll Be Alright, Kid. His second full length release features all the songs on You’ll Be Alright, Kid (Chapter 1), released last year, alongside 11 entirely new tracks. Amongst these new tracks are Warren’s smash hit ‘Ordinary,’ ‘Bloodline (with Jelly Roll)’, and ‘On My Mind (with ROSÉ)’. While You’ll Be Alright, Kid (Chapter 1) focuses on dealing with grief, You’ll Be Alright, Kid turns the page with healing, resilience and optimism.

Warren recently wrapped the first leg of his Cheaper Than Therapy Tour, hitting major cities across Europe and North America, with New Zealand and Australia up next. Now joining as special guest for the Australian dates is American artist Medium Build.

Last in Australia in February for a run of headline dates and as support for Role Model’s sold-out tour, rising singer-songwriter Nick Carpenter - the voice of Medium Build – brings a generous and inviting spirit to his songwriting. Medium Build built a cult following in Anchorage, Alaska, where he became a local celebrity and hometown hero, before making the recent move to Nashville, moving closer to his southern roots and dedicating himself to his musical career.

"He was warm, funny, and exactly the kind of opener you want when you're about to spiral into your feelings." - Scenestr

"This balance of humour and heart is certainly one of his strengths as he disarms you with quips before his beautiful songwriting makes you cry." - The Indie Scene

Medium Build’s critically acclaimed 2024 debut full length album, Country, continues to see extensive praise from NPR Music, People, Billboard, NME, and many more. Most recently, Medium Build released new single ‘Drug Dealer’, a song “about the universal loneliness that all of us share”. ‘Drug Dealer’ follows the recent release of Carpenter’s takeaways EP (out now via Universal Music Australia), which reimagines three songs from the early chapter of his career, featuring one track each from his self-released albums ‘softboy’, ‘roughboy’ and ‘Wild’. These new versions highlight the raw beginnings of the Medium Build project, while showcasing the maturity and restraint cultivated over nearly a decade of writing, touring and personal growth.

With Alex Warren’s shows all sold out, Medium Build fans will have a chance to catch him at two very intimate headline shows at the Lansdowne in Sydney on Wednesday 20 August and The Evelyn in Melbourne on Sunday 31 August.

Tickets for the Medium Build headline shows go on sale this Friday 1 August at 11am AEST via frontiertouring.com/mediumbuild. Frontier members can get early access via their presale, which starts Thursday 31 July at 10am AEST.
