The Frontier Touring Company is thrilled to announce Lisa Gerrard in concert - for the first time ever - in her home country Australia.

Lisa is world renowned for the extraordinary Dead Can Dance collaboration with Brendan Perry – a musical partnership that generated 9 albums - through to her solo recordings; The Mirror Pool and the current The Silver Tree as well as her other collaborative recordings; Duality with Pieter Bourke and Immortal Memory with Patrick Cassidy. Highly regarded and recognised for her film score compositions, Lisa was nominated for and won a Golden Globe for ‘Gladiator’ as well as receiving nominations for her ‘Ali’ and ‘The Insider’ scores, while her ‘Whale Rider’ score received 4 international awards. A self-titled retrospective album of Lisa’s work - as selected and sequenced by Lisa herself - has also just become available.

Lisa Gerrard’s music compositions, recordings and performances have enthralled and inspired an international listening and viewing audience for over two decades. For her Australian concert tour, Lisa will perform a selection of material spanning her entire recording career with an especially assembled group of musicians.

Lisa Gerrard is also the subject of ‘Sanctuary; Lisa Gerrard’ – an emblematic documentary especially created with and for her by UK based film director/producer Clive Collier. This documentary debuted at the ‘Raindance Film Festival’ in London to strong reviews.

Lisa Gerrard is an artist whose live performances are rare and treasured. Just last year the reformed Dead Can Dance performed sell-out concerts at the Hollywood Bowl (15,000) and Radio City Music Hall (7,000) - a huge success and affirmation of their popularity.

Undoubtedly Australian fans have long awaited an announcement of a Lisa Gerrard tour and confirmation of these concerts is sure to delight. Tickets are expected to sell quickly.

Tickets on sale from 9am on Monday February 19th, 2007.

PLEASE NOTE: The Melbourne show will be a general admission seated event. First in, best seated. And ALL of Lisa Gerrard's concerts are NO smoking.
