Giorgio Moroder

Giorgio Moroder

Moroder’s hands have touched countless hits across the decades and his DJ set will include select cuts from an impressive discography featuring some of the biggest names in music.

A legend of synth disco and electronic dance music, Moroder launched Donna Summer’s career and has been involved in the production of #1 hits for the likes of Blondie, Irene Cara, David Bowie and Freddie Mercury. As a result Moroder has four Grammy Awards, three Academy Awards and an induction into the Dance Music Hall of Fame to his name and shows no signs of slowing down after fifty years in the industry.

A guest appearance on Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories brought the Italian dance innovator back into the spotlight and the renaissance of Moroder continues with ‘Right Here, Right Now’, a slice of funk-infused beats featuring guest vocals from our very own Kylie.

The lead single comes from Moroder’s first studio album in thirty years (out early 2015 through RCA Records/Sony Music Australia), which will also feature collaborations from Britney Spears, Sia and Charli XCX amongst many more.

Testament to latest single ’74 Is The New 24’, Moroder performed his first ever DJ set at the age of 73 in New York’s Deep Space in 2013. He offered an impressive mix of his massive hits including Donna Summer’s ‘I Feel Love, ‘Bad Girls’ and ‘Hot Stuff’ as well as his recent Daft Punk collaboration, the nine-minute tribute track ‘Giorgio by Moroder’. Also joining Kylie on the Kiss Me Once tour will be Sydney-born singer/songwriter Betty Who. Her feel-good pop tune ‘Somebody Loves You’ went viral after it was featured in a flash-mob marriage proposal video which has twelve million views and counting. The global success continues with the track set to feature on award-winning television series Glee over this coming weekend.

Betty Who has made a name for herself on the live stage with support slots for Katy Perry and Kiesza as well as her own headline shows, touring in support of debut album Take Me When You Go (out now through RCA Records/Sony Music Australia). On the live stage, Betty Who promises a high-energy show filled with infectious hooks and her signature arena-ready vocals – don’t miss out!

AUSTRALIAN DATES ANNOUNCED FOR 'KISS ME ONCE' TOUR 2015

with special guests dance legend Giorgio Moroder + Betty Who

Get ready! Australia’s premier pop princess Kylie Minogue is jumping off your TV screens and on to a major arena stage near you.

Kylie said:

"I’ve absolutely loved being back in Australia and now I’m even more excited to announce the dates for my Australian Kiss Me Once Tour 2015.  Bringing my show back home is always an amazing feeling so I can’t wait.  Get your dancing shoes on!”

Performing in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth in March 2015, Kylie’s ‘Kiss Me Once’ Tour will be her first since the stripped back Anti-Tour club shows in Sydney and Melbourne in early 2012.    Notably it will have been almost four years since her last national arena tour of our shores.

Renowned for pulling out all the stops on her arena shows, the ‘Kiss Me Once’ Tour will feature songs from her #1 album ‘Kiss Me Once’ (out now through Warner Music Australia) and hits from across her extensive career.   Joined by her band and dancers, fans can expect first class production, plenty of glamour, and songs that will have them up and dancing the night away.

Last on home shores as a coach on Channel Nine’s hit series ‘The Voice’, Kylie continues to prove time and time again that she is one of Australia’s favourite daughters.  Following the huge success of the Kiss Me Once tour across the UK and Europe, Kylie returns once again to the live stage this March. With 'Right Here, Right Now' - Kylie's new collaboration with the Godfather of Disco, Giorgio Moroder - currently hitting the airwaves, we can't wait to catch up with our favourite Pop Princess for an unforgettable night of singing, dancing and so much more.
