JAMES MORRISON ANNOUNCES AN INTIMATE SYDNEY PERFORMANCE!

In a one off special event, The Frontier Touring Company is pleased to announce that James Morrison will play an intimate acoustic performance, featuring songs from the new album The Awakening and other favourites for his Sydney fans this April.

This will be Morrison’s first performance in Australia since 2007. In the span of five years, Morrison has since released two studio albums, toured the world extensively and collaborated with artists including Jason Mraz, Nelly Furtado and Jessie J.

Morrison’s latest studio album The Awakening (out now through Universal) sees the singer draw on themes from recent events in his personal life to breathe new life into his songwriting.

The album is touted as Morrison’s ‘coming of age’ record after a rollercoaster year which saw the singer both become a father and lose his own. These experiences provided Morrison’s songwriting with an emotional depth that has left fans and critics alike singing his praises.

‘The talent, the substance, and the heart of this collection place it above a vast majority of the albums I’ve listened to recently. There is no gloss, nothing manufactured. This is soul, pure and simple. A fascinatingly resilient musician and inspiring album, not to be missed.’ – Relate Magazine

This exclusive performance follows Morrison’s extensive touring throughout America and mainland Europe over recent months which treated fans to old favourites like the single that started it all, ‘You Give Me Something’.

During these shows, Morrison also introduced audiences to his latest offerings from The Awakening including ‘I Won’t Let You Go’ and ‘Up’ which features a unique collaboration with Brit urban queen Jessie J.

These countless shows across the world delighted dedicated Morrison fans whilst introducing his unique brand of soulfulness to a legion of new admirers.

‘At his best, the Rugby-born musician was as soulful a voice as any you're likely to hear and even at his worst, he was teetering on the edge of sheer musical brilliance.’ - The Copenhagen Post

‘The passion he was playing with that night was obvious. Morrison’s voice flourished in such an intimate venue and if some in attendance were not fans, they definitely were by the end of the night.’ – Mezzic.com

Morrison’s incredible songwriting and impassioned vocals come alive in front of an audience. Tickets for this intimate performance are strictly limited, do not miss the opportunity to experience Morrison’s engaging live set first hand as he performs songs from his new album The Awakening as well as old favourites.
