One of the most influential voices to emerge from Hawaiʻi and the South Pacific – that once in a generation voice - Josh Tatofi is a beloved global artist on everybody’s radar.

Known for his unmistakable, soul-driven voice, Honolulu-born Josh, has developed a sound that bridges R&B, soul, island reggae, and contemporary influences with confidence and ease. His music connects across borders, grounded in lived experience and carried by a vocal delivery that is both technically commanding and emotionally direct. Josh’s outstanding catalogue surpasses 200 million streams worldwide, reflecting a sustained global audience and a deep connection with listeners.

Since the release of his debut album This Love in 2011, Josh has steadily built an international following through music that prioritises feeling, honesty, and performance. Often referred to as the “Polynesian Luther Vandross”, he is recognised for a voice that can move seamlessly between intimate settings and large-scale stages.

“In the world of Pacific music, Tatofi has carved out a place not only in the hearts of the islands but also on stages around the globe” – ABC Music

Josh reached a major milestone in late 2025, with his signing to EMPIRE, the record-breaking partnership made Josh the first artist from Hawaiʻi and the South Pacific to secure a global recording deal with the label, signalling a significant moment for both his career and the wider Pacific music community.

An expansive and ever-growing list of accolades, including a Grammy-nomination for Best Regional Roots Music Album for his 2018 album, Pua Kiele, Josh has received multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards and Pacific Music Awards, recognising both his consistency and long-term contribution to the region’s musical landscape. His journey increasingly represents more than individual success, offering a clear pathway for South Pacific artists to operate on the global stage without compromise.

Entering his next and most career-defining chapter in 2026, Josh will release his all-new Soul / Island / Country album, his first under EMPIRE. With latest single 'Looking For Love' out now, the track solidifies Josh’s expanding his sound while reinforcing his position as one of the South Pacific’s most important contemporary voices.

As he prepares his anticipated return to Australia, don’t miss these special live shows as Josh Tatofi brings Looking For Love Tour to Australia this April.
