AWARD-WINNING CONTENT CREATOR BRINGS HER CHART-TOPPING PODCAST TO MELBOURNE!

Frontier Comedy is thrilled to present the Melbourne live podcasting debut from the inaugural winner of NOVA Entertainment’s 2017 Podquest initiative, Brisbanite Phoebe Parsons.

Confessions of a Twenty Something Train Wreck focuses on its creator, narrator and driving force - Phoebe. She’s a twenty-something ‘train wreck’ who has failed just about every aspect of her adult personal life. From men and money, to health insurance and housemates, she has been there, done that. Now in its seventh season, Phoebe is ready to take her chart-topping podcast on the road, presenting her first ever Melbourne live show at The Comic’s Lounge on Sunday 31 March.

The Podquest initiative was launched in 2017 to discover and support new and emerging podcasters. Entries from talented content creators all over the country flooded in, and Phoebe’s humorous and engaging way of presenting and story-telling earned her the coveted production and marketing grant.

After attempting to write a book but finding that it didn’t really translate, Phoebe made the natural move to new media. The podcast is generally scripted, with a cohesive mix of natural conversation and narrative to glue it together. With a background in journalism and P.R, Parsons has found a happy medium between talking, storytelling and writing.

Phoebe had had no prior involvement in podcasting before applying for Podquest but thought she might have something fresh to offer, with an idea for a relatable podcast focussing on a young life beset by disasters, mishaps and ‘train-wreck’ moments. With her girlfriends blown away by the endless stream of complicated and dramatic stories that Phoebe was constantly entangling herself in, Confessions is Phoebe’s life in a nutshell – and although at times her girlfriends can be a bit shy to open up, very few topics are out of bounds for Parsons!

Professionally, Phoebe has her shit totally sorted! With 10 years of experience spanning broadcast journalism and content creation for some of Australia's biggest brands under her belt, she puts the boss in girl boss.

But her personal life... it's a train wreck. If you can't run out of petrol in peak hour traffic (more than once), accrue over $2K in toll fines, and have the tax office on speed dial, are you even a train wreck?

Don’t miss Phoebe Parsons when she brings her life-affirming podcast to the live stage!
