WHITE LIES

MELBOURNE AND SYDNEY SHOWS ANNOUNCED!

The Frontier Touring Company is pleased to confirm the return of indie rock dark princes White Lies to Melbourne and Sydney this April to celebrate the success of their second studio album Ritual.

The UK trio is renowned for their epic anthems, moody musings and sweeping grandeur. With remnants of Interpol and Joy Division in their veins, the band’s debut To Lose My Life hit #1 in the UK charts upon its 2009 release and went on to sell over 750,000 copies globally, securing the highly coveted #2 position in NME readers’ esteemed Album Of The Year poll that year.

Described by the band as a “full-blooded, big-booted tech-rock” album, White Lies’ Ritual (out now through Universal) has been wildly popular with fans and critics alike:

‘Ritual captures a sound that’s both ethereal and tense, setting the listener adrift in an ominous sea of synthesizers and brooding vocals.’ - AllMusic.com

Live in concert, Harry McVeigh (vocals), Charles Cave (bass) and Jack Lawrence-Brown (drummer) are joined by Robert Lee and Thomas Bowen to deliver their repertoire of hits including ‘To Lose My Life’, ‘Death’ and current single ‘Bigger Than Us’ live to fans in Sydney and Melbourne..

‘White Lies have always sounded as if they think they are playing in an arena no matter what size of venue. Grandiose is in their musical genes.’ – The Sunday Times

‘In fact, both he [Harry McVeigh] and his band are perfect…This will not be their last ever sold-out headline show.’ – NME.com

Come and catch White Lies’ exclusive Australian performances this April!
