The Frontier Touring Company is very proud to announce that Norah Jones is coming to perform in Australia for the first time early next year.

The sultry vocalist and pianist brings her magical and unique blend of jazz and traditional vocal pop with hints of bluesy country and contemporary folk to intimate venues in all the major cities in January/February.

Norah who was born in New York in 1979, the daughter of internationally acclaimed musician Ravi Shankar, grew up in Texas and is the latest female jazz sensation.

"A new generation of musicians and singers has burst upon the jazz scene. Showing early flashes of promise, these young guns are considered hot prospects in the biz, earning respect and whispers about potential greatness. Among the most promising is 22 year old singer Norah Jones." New York Post

"With beguiling, chameleon-like vocals that conjure up comparisons to sea spray-and-smoke timbered singers like Phoebe Snow, Jonatha Brooke and Bonnie Raitt, Jones gently erases the boundaries between jazz, pop, country and even blues-stocked rock." Jazziz Magazine

Her debut album "Come Away with Me", produced by the legendary Arif Mardin (Aretha Franklin, Dusty Springfield, Roberta Flack & Willie Nelson) has already sold almost 4 million copies and it is obvious that word of her striking beauty and exquisite talent is spreading. Norah's breathtaking album has already spent 22 weeks in the Australian Top 20 and the second track "Come Away with Me" went to radio on Monday 21st October.

After the instant sell-out of the recent Diana Krall concert, we suggest patrons buy their tickets early to avoid disappointment as the Melbourne Concert Hall has a limited capacity.
