Lorde (NZ) announces USA rapper, singer and producer Kevin Abstract as special guest for all Ultrasound World Tour Australia & New Zealand shows in February 2026
11 Nov 2025Frontier Touring is proud to announce Kevin Abstract as special guest on all Lorde Ultrasound World Tour Australia and New Zealand shows for this coming February!
Kevin Abstract is a rapper, singer, and songwriter best known as a founding member of the genre-blending hip-hop collective Brockhampton. Known for his introspective lyrics and genre-defying sound, Abstract often explores themes of identity, queerness, and personal growth. As a solo artist, he brings a distinct voice to alternative hip-hop, blending rap, pop, and experimental elements to craft deeply personal and emotionally resonant music.
In further good news, new tickets have just been released across all previously sold-out headline Lorde Australia and New Zealand shows with tickets going on sale Thursday 13 November, 2pm local time via frontiertouring.com/lorde.
Lorde is currently touring her Ultrasound World Tour throughout the USA, Europe and UK to rave reviews:
‘Lorde’s show-stopping stage presence has been years in the making’ - Rolling Stone
‘★★★★★’ - NME
‘Free of theatrics, Lorde’s performance felt raw and unfiltered. She was down-to-earth, a rare quality from a megastar. Her performances often felt like a giant, liberating dance party, and her emotion radiated through the venue. It was a concert experience unlike any other’ - The Diamondback
Kevin Abstract has just released his third solo studio album, Blush. Blush is a return to his roots, both musically and personally. Inspired by his hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas, the 19-track project blends breezy rap with pop influences and explores themes of heartbreak, healing, and self-discovery. After feeling lost and creatively stifled in Los Angeles, Abstract moved back to Texas and reconnected with the place and people that shaped him.
He was influenced by Kendrick Lamar’s GNX, aiming to create a regional record that reflected his own upbringing. Songs like ‘Copy’ and ‘H-Town’ embody a Southern vibe, tapping into Abstract’s early memories and creative beginnings. Recording in solitude and drawing on childhood feelings, he found clarity, purpose, and a renewed passion for music.
Blush is the product of a personal low point, a “crashout moment,” and a turning point that led to a deeper understanding of himself. It's a “summer breakup album” with a light sound and heavy themes, addressing not just romantic loss, but a break from past versions of himself.
Ultimately, Abstract sees Blush as a gift to the community that raised him and a message to others navigating their own struggles. “I just want people to enjoy the music and feel good,” he says. “I hope it helps people get through some bullshit.”
