An “indie-pop visionary” with “a rock-star persona” (Rolling Stone USA): vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer King Princess is one of the hottest artists in music, with sold-out tours across the world and festival sets at Coachella, Glastonbury, Governors Ball, Bonnaroo and more. Now it’s with great pleasure that Frontier Touring announces the Brooklyn born-and-bred singer will perform two East Coast headline shows in March 2023.

Also touring Australia as special guest of Florence + The Machine (previously announced), King Princess will perform at the Croxton Bandroom, Melbourne, on Saturday 11 March, followed by Metro Theatre, Sydney, on Wednesday 15 March. With her debut headline  shows back in 2019 selling out immediately upon going on sale, don’t delay in grabbing tickets… these shows are not to be missed!

Tickets go sale Wednesday 30 November (12pm AEDT) via https://www.frontiertouring.com/kingprincess. Frontier Members can access the Members Presale, which starts Monday 28 November (12pm AEDT) – see website for details.

King Princess will return to Australia in early 2023 in support of her latest album release, 2022’s Hold On Baby (out now via Sony Music Entertainment Australia). King Princess’ sophomore effort delivered a swathe of critical acclaim for the talented singer, real name is Mikaela Straus. Straus produced the LP alongside a who’s who of talent, including: Mark Ronson, Ethan Gruska, Aaron Dessner, Bryce Dessner, Dave Hamelin, Shawn Everett and Tobias Jesso Jr.

Led by lead single ‘Let Us Die’ (dedicated to the late Taylor Hawkins, who contributed drums to the song), and tracks such as ‘Too Bad’ and ‘Cursed’ (watch the double video here), Hold On Baby saw King Princess turn “inward throughout the writing process, peeling back layers in a more intimate way than ever before” said Consequence, with Daily Beast describing the album as “her boldest art yet”.

Earning widespread critical acclaim from the likes of The New York Times, Pitchfork, NPR, Rolling Stone, King Princess has performed on “Saturday Night Live,” “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon”.

Back in 2018, the then 19-year-old broke out overnight with her smash hit debut single ‘1950’, an ode to untold queer histories. The track immediately became an overnight hit, with over 600 million streams to date and eventually achieving Platinum status in the United States and Australia. That same year, her debut album Cheap Queen saw iconic US producer Ronson label her “a prodigy in the making”, Ronson having released the debut on his own Zelig Records label, distributed through Columbia/Sony.

As peerless vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer, King Princess is a pop superstar for modern times… don’t miss her live on stage!
