“The hottest thing in pop music.” — DORKThe Royal Court is expanding. Haute & Freddy, the dazzling musical brainchild of Michelle Buzz and Lance Shipp, have announced their debut tour of Australia, bringing their flamboyant collision of theatrical pop, underground club culture, and runaway-circus spectacle to audiences for the first time.
Fresh off their sold-out Big Disgrace World Tour and a landmark year of festival appearances across North America and Europe, the duo is poised to introduce local audiences to their unmistakable universe next March — one where elaborate costumes, obscure synths, and unapologetic self-expression reign supreme.
Haute & Freddy will deliver anticipated headline performances at Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Tuesday 2 March, Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on Friday 5 March and Melbourne’s 170 Russell on Wednesday 10 March, along with festival slots at Golden Plains and WOMADelaide.
Released in March, Haute & Freddy’s debut album, Big Disgrace, was recently named one of Vogue’s Best Albums of 2026 So Far. Led by the anthemic ‘Dance The Pain Away’, the record is a riotous introduction to the duo’s theatrical universe, blending audacious pop, obscure synths and underground club culture into a gloriously unpredictable sound all their own. With fan-favourite videos for ‘Shy Girl’, ‘Sophie’ and ‘Freaks’ already establishing their visual world, the pair have continued to blur the lines between music, fashion, and performance.
With current single ‘Touch Touch’, written and produced entirely by the pair, Haute & Freddy continue their rapid rise. The duo gave the track its live debut during their recent Lollapalooza set, earning a rapturous response from the crowd, while its iconic music video has already amassed close to 2 million views.
And the duo has even more new music on the horizon. This Friday 23 October, Haute & Freddy will unveil their brand-new single ‘Film Noir’ (Pre-Save HERE), written and produced by the band, alongside an official music video directed by Amalia Irons. Drawing inspiration from the dangerous glamour and shadowy romanticism of classic film noir, the track transforms love into a beautifully twisted mystery, where desire and danger become increasingly difficult to tell apart. Arriving just in time for Halloween, ‘Film Noir’ promises another thrilling glimpse into the pair’s wonderfully theatrical imagination, complete with the drama, intrigue and darkly romantic flair that have become their signature.
But a Haute & Freddy show is more than a concert. It's an invitation into the Royal Court — the duo's fiercely loyal and increasingly extravagant fandom. Online, fans trade Ren Faire-inspired lingo; in the crowd, handmade jester hats and balloon crowns transform audiences into part of the spectacle itself. It's a world where the line between performer and audience dissolves, and every show becomes its own gloriously unruly affair.
With sold-out shows across Europe and the UK, plus a 2027 slot at Primavera Sound, the Lady Gaga-approved pair show no signs of slowing down. Driven by a love of theatre, underground club culture, and sounds that defy convention, Haute & Freddy make music that crashes through the veneer of polite society with the flair of an 18th-century escapade. Their debut Australian tour promises an immersive introduction to a world where pop meets performance art, the absurd meets the anthemic, and the Royal Court is always in session.
