Critically acclaimed, billion-plus streaming singer-songwriter Chet Faker is set to return to Aussie stages this summer, today announcing two special headline shows in Sydney and Brisbane this March as part of his A Love For Strangers global tour.

The two new headline shows – with performances in Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth already announced, see below – coincide with the release of Faker’s highly anticipated new album, A Love For Strangers, out February 13 via BMG. Having recently announced a 21-date North American run in April and May, followed by European shows in July, these two new Australian dates will offer fans an intimate opportunity to experience a striking new chapter in the career of one of our most singular and influential artists

Led by the gorgeously rousing singles ‘Far Side of the Moon’ and ‘This Time For Real’, A Love For Strangers sees Nick Murphy – the ARIA-winning songwriter, musician and producer behind the Chet Faker moniker – come full circle. The new album, which follows 2021’s Hotel Surrender, is rooted in a sense of personal rediscovery that deepened after the 10-year anniversary of his debut full-length, the sensational and career-ascendant Built on Glass.

Tickets for Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall (Tuesday 3 March) and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre (Wednesday 4 March) go on sale Monday 19 January (12pm local) via frontiertouring.com/chetfaker. Frontier Members presale starts Thursday 15 January (10am local) – see website for details.

Chet Faker is an artist of considerable range whose career has been defined by his restless creativity. Since a viral moment sparked a rise to fame, he has carved out his own extraordinary path to success. His award-winning debut EP, Thinking in Textures, was followed by his meteoric 2014 debut LP Built on Glass featuring hits ‘Gold’ and ‘Talk Is Cheap’. He has amassed over a billion global streams, earned multiple ARIA Awards, performed on major international television including Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, collaborated with artists such as Flume and Marcus Marr, and released several acclaimed projects under his given name. In 2021, he returned with the Chet Faker album Hotel Surrender, which reached the Top 20 of the ARIA Albums Chart.

An artist in constant evolution, Chet Faker is back – don’t miss these two unmissable headline performances.
