"You have to see them to truly appreciate what The Dresden Dolls are all about... Once The Dresden Dolls' music is absorbed into your system, one thing is certain; you will never forget them." Chorus & Verse

Whilst launching their current album Yes, Virginia in March this year, The Dresden Dolls' Amanda Palmer and Brian Viglione thrilled a fortunate few at a promotional show in Sydney. The show, which sold out in a matter of days, did so off the back of a mere media release!

Fans pleaded for additional shows and now The Frontier Touring Company can finally confirm the news all Dresden Dolls devotees have been waiting for. For the first time since 2004, the duo will tour Australia, performing shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

The Dresden Dolls highly stylised Brechtian punk cabaret is unlike anything you're ever likely to hear. Like their self-titled debut, their new album Yes, Virginia (Roadrunner Records) has received rave reviews worldwide.

"The Dresden Dolls could never be accused of being shy and retiring, but on their second full-length they sound more confident than ever, igniting their cabaret-rock with more crazed inventiveness and you-are-there immediacy." All Music Guide, May 2006

"The Dolls' music...is as gripping as ever." Alternative Press, June 2006

Live, The Dresden Dolls are something else. Energetic, dynamic and vigorous, their magnificent performances need to be seen to be believed.

"Palmer, who looks like a dishevelled Lulu and Viglione, dangerously pretty, stripped to the waist, in makeup, are a distinctly peculiar proposition... They draw on an array of interrelated things - Weimer-era cabaret, torch song, German Expressionism - to produce an often bawdy, consciously melodramatic music of heightened emotions that also exploits a rock dynamic." The Guardian, May 2006

"A powerful performance... The Dresden Dolls are doing something genuinely different and interesting..." Drowned In Sound, May 2006
