The Used - Sydney Gig
The Frontier Touring Company are thrilled to announce that punk-rock outfit, The Used, will play a special one-off gig at the Roundhouse (University of NSW) on May 12.
The Used shot to stardom with the release of their self-titled debut in June 2002. The album was quickly embraced by music lovers, selling over one million copies worldwide and propelling the quartet onto the international touring stage.
Within a matter of months, The Used went from playing small gigs in their own backyard to performing for masses of people throughout America and the world. As well as starring at the popular Vans Warped Tour and Ozzfest, The Used also scored the coveted support slot to Linkin Park, Korn and Snoop Dogg at last year’s Projekt Revolution Tour.
Now, with a new album – In Love and Death (Reprise Records, 2004) – out in record stores nationwide, The Used are bringing their energetic and expressive brand of rock to Sydney for one show only.
Support for the evening will be New South Wales’ own After the Fall. After the Fall have secured a strong following in Australia since coming together five years ago. With both an EP and debut album under their belts, and tours with AFI, Dashboard Confessional and 28 Days to boast about, After the Fall will provide the perfect start to what is sure to be an unmissable show. Sydney favourites Irrelevant will also perform.
