The Frontier Touring Company is pleased to confirm The Script will be returning to Australia this October for performances in Melbourne and Sydney in support of their upcoming album Science & Faith.
The Script, comprised of Dubliners Danny O’Donoghue, Mark Sheehan and Glen Power, will release their highly anticipated sophomore album in time for the tour and the rousing first single titled ‘For The First Time’ has hit the airways.
The talented Irish rockers’ 2008 self titled debut achieved Platinum status here in Australia and launched the band head first into the spotlight with the highly popular single ‘Breakeven’. In 2009 the band were handpicked to open for U2 and Paul McCartney and continued winning hearts across the globe with their charisma and crowd-pleasing live performances.
The Script melds irresistible riffs with swooping melodies to form an effective repertoire of anthems with which to woo the crowd. Their 2009 Australian tour completely sold out including additional shows to meet the overwhelming demand.
The Script will be supported on tour by Melbourne-born musician Michael Paynter, whose debut EP Love The Fall has been gaining copious attention from the Australian music scene since its release last month.
Tickets will be available to Frontier Members in a pre-sale from 2pm AEST, Tuesday 10 August – 2pm AEST, Wednesday 11 August. General public tickets on sale from 9am local time, Friday 13 August.
