ELIZA DOOLITTLE AUSTRALIAN SHOWS CONFIRMED
Australian fans of London-born songstress ELIZA DOOLITTLE can rejoice as dates for her promotional visit have been confirmed. Doolittle will be playing exclusive headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne from late next month in support of her debut self-titled album.
Inspired by the garage mentality of 1960’s and 70’s pop, Doolittle’s infectiously catchy tracks ‘Pack Up’ and ‘Skinny Genes’ have seen her quickly become one of the artists to watch in 2010.
At only 22 years of age Doolittle is amazingly no stranger to the music business; she began writing songs at the age of 12 and co-wrote all of the tracks on her debut with a little help from top-notch collaborators such as Greg Kurstin (Lily Allen, SIA), Craigie Dodds (Amy Winehouse) and the late Jonny $ (Kylie, Massive Attack). The result is a fresh sound that celebrates the fun side of life.
Doolittle’s album was released in the U.K in July debuting at No.3 and after just four weeks was certified gold; a remarkable feat for such a new artist. Released in Australia on September 24th, it seems we have already caught onto Doolittle’s delicious brand of pop;
“Eliza Doolittle is the aural equivalent to lemonade: her voice is clear, sugary sweet, bubbly and best served on a sunny day…she’s an irresistible pop-package.” – Groupie Magazine
Be sure to catch Eliza Doolittle when she heads down under - just in time for summer!
